This painting was my way of asking, "Now that I've reached middle age, where am I going, and what should I do?"Ê That large ring is the midpoint of life, after which things begin to slow down.Ê What lies beyond it?Ê I don't know, but I'll find out soon enough.Ê Many of my paintings will explore my own world as I move forward along that road.Ê In a manner of speaking, every painting that I do is part of my autobiography, and not a mere concept wearing pretty clothes.Ê Given that I'm as human as everyone else, there's a chance that my art speaks to others in a meaningful way, too.
