Another day is done÷what have you contributed?
I believe that life is an opportunity for us to learn by making mistakes.Ê One who makes mistakes and learns, and who, despite the mistakes, contributes something to help others, has lived well, and can return home happy at the end of the day.
This is what I thought about when I saw the Mary Knoll Retirement Home from the freeway, just south of Los Altos Hills.Ê I was recovering from the surgery that had kept me alive, and my brain was still rather addled.Ê But this scene stuck in my mind until I could work it on the canvas.
